SOME MORE INTERSTING 4-LINERS

FLOWERS
The sweetest flower that blows,
I give you as we part,
For you it is a rose –
For me it is my heart!

FRIENDSHIP
And what is friendship but a name,
A charm that lulls to sleep,
A shade that follows wealth and fame,
And leaves the wretch to weep!

GHOST
The other day - upon the stair
I saw a man who wasn’t there,
He wasn’t there again today,
I wish to God he would go away!

LIFE’S JOURNEY
Along life’s journey – off and on
Lie obstacles of rock and ditch;
He who with courage drives the car,
Reaches his goal without a hitch.

LITTLE CAR
Mary had a little car,
She drove in a manner deft,
And every time she signaled left,
The little car went right.

MY DEAR
Hush my dear, lie still and slumber!
Holy Angels guard thy bed!
Heavenly blessings without number,
Gently falling on thy HEAD!

SEE IF ONE OF THIS HAS SOMETHING IN COMMON WITH YOU:

i) You are one of those very rare persons and we, probably, do not meet more than 3 or 4 in a lifetime, who do little or nothing of any consequence, make no effort to attract attention, seem content with the commonplace and, yet leave with everybody who knows them an enduring impression of integrity and strength, of vast unused powers of carelessly veiled greatness.
ii)I feel that you are justified in looking into the future with true assurance because you have a mode of living in which we find the joy of life and satisfaction of doing one’s work and performing one’s duty harmoniously combined. Added to this is the spirit of ambition which pervades your very being and seems to make the days timetable like that of a happy child at play.

MY HEART
Not with madness but with sadness,
My heart it’s cruel lesson learns.
Not with sadness but with madness,
My heart the art of LOVE learns

MY MOTHER
Who ran to help me when I fell,
Or would some pretty story tell,
Or kiss the place to make it well?
My mother, my mother, my dear mother!

MY REGRETS
Among life’s dying embers,
These are my regrets;
When I am right no one remembers,
When I am wrong, no one forgets!

SOME MORE INTERSTING 4-LINERS

NEVER
Never wound hearts that love you,
Never cause endless pain,
For hearts once ruined, like roses,
NEVER BLOOM AGAIN.

OLD DEBTS
You are forgotten as old debts,
By persons who are used to borrow,
Forgotten as the sun that sets,
When shines a new one on the morrow!

OUR HOPES
Our very hopes belied our fears,
Our fears our hopes belied.
We thought her dying when she slept,
And sleeping when she died.

OUR LOVE SHALL GUARD
No care or grief shall wave
It’s cold and blighting pinions o’er you,
For our love shall guard thy spirits hope
Till heavens blessings dawn before you!

PERSON WORTHWHILE
‘Tis easy enough to be pleasant,
When life flows along like a song;
But the person worth-while is the one who will smile
Even when everything goes dead wrong!

SELF AND SERVICE
Service first and the self-second,
Is a motto good and fine,
But let us have it well reckoned,
The self is yours and never mine.

SO MANY CREEDS
So many God’s; so many creeds;
So many paths that wind and wind,
While all the sad world needs,
Is just the art of being a little kind!

SOME HOPE THAT’S DEAD
There’s not a garden walk I tread,
There’s not a flower, I see, Love,
But brings to mind some hope, that’s dead,
Some joy I’ve had with thee.

YOU MAY DISAGREE IF YOU LIKE - SO WHAT!

1) Though man has language as a patent means of expression and he has the intellect also to argue his case and to convince others, yet man ultimately uses the ways of the animal who do not have language and reason to as their means to seek justice. So the lesson I learn from history is that man does not learn LESSONS FROM HISTORY.

2) Going into SILENCE enables you to manage your thoughts better. You will find there is no need to worry. Most of the answers you are looking for will come to you without too much effort on your part.

3) When you are shown DISREGARD, check yourself. If you’ve done nothing wrong, your conscience is clear and your attitude is well-meaning, understand that the situation is a test of your ability to remain beyond the judgement of others.

SOME MORE INTERSTING 4-LINERS

THE MORE YOU FORGET
The more you learn the more you forget,
The more you forget the less you know;
The less you know the less you forget,
The less you forget the more you know!

TIRED
To stop before you’re tired
The experts say is smart,
So that quite nicely lets me out,
I’m tired before I start!

TROUBLE
Better never trouble ‘TROUBLE’
Until trouble troubles you,
For you only make your trouble,
Double-trouble, when you do!

TWO FAULTS
Men have many faults,
Dear women have but two,
They never think, that is right,
They never wrong what they do!

WEEP ON
Weep on – perhaps in after days,
They will learn to love your name,
And many a deed may wake in praise.
That long hath slept in blame.

WISE OLD BIRD
A wise old bird sat on an oak.
The more he heard, the less he spoke;
The less he spoke, the more he heard;
Let us not laugh at this wise old bird.

WORDS
I’m careful of the words I say
To keep them soft and sweet;
For I know not from day to day
Which one’s I’ll have to eat.

WORRYING
What’s the use of worrying?
It never was worthwhile,
So pack up your troubles in your old kit bag,
And smile, smile and SMILE!

WORLD
The world we are living in is
Is mighty hard to beat.
You get a thorn with every rose,
But aren’t the roses sweet?

WISDOM WAYS
If wisdom ways you wisely seek,
Observe five things with care;
Of whom you speak, with whom you speak,
And how and why and where!

FATHER

It is said:
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a winter sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad

How many of us qualify?
